Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy applies to MingoTalk's app and website. MingoTalk operates the service and is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact privacy@mingotalk.com or Help and support in the app about privacy, access, correction or deletion.
Account and profile
We store your name, username, email or phone number, date of birth, country and the profile information you choose to provide. Passwords are hashed. Google or Apple sign-in supplies the account identifier and basic profile information needed to sign in; it does not give us your provider password. Your country and self-entered area help show relevant services. The app does not request precise GPS location or upload your address book.
Content, communication and preferences
We store the posts, comments, photos, videos, audio, stories, highlights, messages and shows you upload, together with their audience settings, reactions, follows and reports. Messages are delivered to their recipients; content you make public can be seen, copied or shared by other people. Our messaging is not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Optional Swipe preferences, including gender and whom you want to meet, are used for that feature; Swipe is restricted to adults.
Microphone, camera and selected media
Camera and microphone access is requested for the call, recording or live feature you choose. A call continues while you use another screen or put the app in the background, and its notification lets you hang up. Episodes of shows can keep playing in the background, with controls in the notification. The Android uploader uses the system picker for media you select rather than permission to read your entire photo library. Live shows may be recorded when recording is enabled; the live screen displays recording status. Joining a recorded session can include your contributions in the recording. A host can publish a saved recording as an episode. Uploaded media may be resized, compressed and stripped of embedded metadata.
Verification, transactions and support
If you choose identity verification, Didit collects the identity document and selfie on its verification page and performs document and face checks. MingoTalk receives the session identifier and the result, with the reason if it is declined, not the document, the selfie or the details read from them. Read the provider disclosure before starting. Verification is optional and these documents are not public profile content. When you set a profile photo, our own server checks whether it shows a face and keeps only that yes or no, which decides whether the photo can appear in Swipe. It does not recognise whose face it is, and the photo is not sent to anyone else for this. Purchases, recharge and marketplace orders require transaction identifiers, amounts, recipient numbers or shipping details. A seller receives the information needed to fulfil your order. Payment providers process payment details under their own policies. We also keep support requests and abuse reports needed to investigate problems.
Service activity and diagnostics
We process device and session identifiers, IP addresses, sign-in events, push notification tokens, crash diagnostics and interactions such as views, searches and listening activity to run, secure, diagnose and personalize the service. MingoTalk includes its own promotional and advertising placements. These placements and content recommendations may use in-app interests and activity. We do not sell your personal information. We do not claim that the service has no advertising simply because it has no third-party advertising SDK.
Providers and disclosure
Our infrastructure uses hosting and storage providers, including OVHcloud and, when enabled, Cloudflare storage or delivery. Firebase delivers push notifications and Crashlytics diagnostics; a notification's preview, such as the sender's name and the start of a message, passes through Firebase on its way to your phone. Calls and live audio run on LiveKit media servers hosted by Hostinger, with connection-relay servers. Google Play or Apple processes applicable app-store purchases and sign-in. The payment and recharge services EPS, ShurjoPay and SuccessTopUp receive the details needed for the transaction you start. A withdrawal is paid to the bKash, Nagad or Rocket number you give, through that service. Sign-in codes and service emails are sent from MingoTalk's own mail server; SMS is not used. When the AI service finder is enabled, Anthropic processes the requested service category, area, country and language to find public service information. Service providers receive information needed for their service, rather than permission to use all account data. Hosting and processing can take place outside your country. We may disclose information required by law, fraud investigations or child-safety reporting obligations.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, choose the audience for supported content, manage notifications, block or report people, revoke device permissions and request a data export in Settings. Revoking microphone or camera permission prevents the affected feature from working. Optional verification and commerce data is needed only when you choose those services. Privacy requests can be sent to privacy@mingotalk.com.
Retention and deletion
Settings → Deactivate or delete → Delete starts permanent deletion. The account becomes unavailable and its sessions end immediately. There is a 30-day cancellation period: signing in during that period cancels the request. After it expires, the scheduled deletion process removes the account and its associated content, subject to the exceptions below. Deactivation alone is reversible and is not permanent deletion. You can also use https://mingotalk.com/delete-account/ without installing the app.
Copies other people independently downloaded or shared can remain with them. Payment, order, dispute, fraud-prevention and legally required records may be retained for the purpose that requires them; a retained seller account is disabled and de-identified. If order retention prevents full account erasure, contact privacy@mingotalk.com to request review and removal of remaining personal information. Expired account-export files are removed after seven days. One-time authentication-code records are swept after seven days, and sign-in IP address records after 90 days. Scheduled database backups have a 14-day retention and pre-deployment backups a three-day retention. Deleted data can remain temporarily in these restricted backups; backups must not restore a deleted account to normal use. We retain other account data while it is needed to provide the service or resolve a lawful obligation, rather than promising that every type has the same retention period.
Children and changes
MingoTalk is for people aged 18 or over and is not designed for children. An account without a date of birth is asked for one; an account under 18 can only download its data or delete itself. Report an underage account or child-safety concern in the app or to childsafety@mingotalk.com. Material policy changes are dated here; the app asks for agreement to the current Terms and Community Guidelines before continuing.
